今年の3月11日は月曜日。みんなとゆっくり過ごす時間は少なそう。そこで3月10日（日曜日に）前夜祭を開催します！事前連絡や予約不要です。少しでもお時間ありましたら、ふらりと気軽にお立ち寄りください。お待ちしています。

15:00　オンライン・アーティストトーク（アバロス村野敦子 x John Anderson）
縁側の家に展示されているアバロス村野敦子の作品《Beachcombing with John and Friends》の制作に深く関わるJohn Anderson氏（ Johnさんとは？上部のYouTubeをご覧ください）。Johnさんをオンラインで招いてのカジュアルなトークイベントを行います。アメリカ北西部ワシントン州の浜で漂流物を長年拾い続けている、このシーンでは著名な彼とアーティストが本作品の背景について語ります。約1時間ほどを予定。

John Anderson, who is deeply involved in the creation of Atsuko Avalos Murano‘s work “Beachcombing with John and Friends” on display at engawanoie. He is a well-known figure in the scene and has been collecting driftwood on the beaches of Washington State in the Northwest for many years. Due to the time difference, the event takes place in the evening. Please join us. The talk will last about an hour.

17:00 「NGUPI – アチェ/福島」経過報告会（髙橋優子、アダム・ドーリング、斎藤勇樹、松本康弘）
海とコミュニティをめぐる縁側の家とアダム・ドーリング（和歌山大学）のプロジェクト「NGUPI – アチェ/福島」の経過発表を行います。共に津波被害を体験したスマトラ島アチェと福島のサーフコミュニティの交流と体験の共有から、海と寄り添い生きる人々の営みを紐解く本プロジェクトでは、2024年2月に福島のサーファー3名（齋藤勇樹/anitoya、松本康弘、高橋優子/縁側の家）がアダム・ドーリングと共にアチェを訪問しました。
NGUPI はアチェの方言で、友達と特に目的なくコーヒーをすすりながらだらだらする事の意。果たしてNGUPIとなったのか…乞うご期待ください！
17:00 “NGUPI – Aceh/Fukushima” Progress Report (Yuko Takahashi, Adam Dorling, Yuki Saito, Yasuhiro Matsumoto)
Progress of the project “NGUPI – Aceh/Fukushima” by Adam Dorling (Wakayama University) and engawanoie on the sea and the community is presented. This project aims to unravel the activities of people living close to the ocean through exchanges and shared experiences between the surfing communities of Aceh and Fukushima, both of which experienced the tsunami disaster. NGUPI is an Acehnese dialect word that refers to a casual, aimless, coffee-sipping experience with friends.
We are looking forward to seeing if it turned out to be “ngupi”…stay tuned!

2024年2月20日、斎藤勇樹(anitoya)監督作品「free & easy」上映終了後の一枚。ロクンガのサーファーが集うCentral Cafeで、幸せな夜。

*当日はいわきのお菓子屋さん sayari の出張販売やドリンクの販売、さらにはワタナベ農園の焼き芋や干し芋販売があります。またカジュアルなお寿司をリクエストに応じて手配します（3月5日までに事前要予約1500円/１人前）
*イベントのアーカイブとして撮影を行い後日公開する予定です。撮影にご協力ください。なお、オンライン上での公開前に映像を確認していただくことは可能です。詳細はスタッフにお問い合わせください。
*On the day of the event, there will be a sweets shop sayari from Iwaki selling sweets, selling drinks, and baked and dried sweet potatoes from Watanabe Farm. Casual sushi will be available upon request (advance reservation required at 1500 yen per person).

第2回目の開催となった「3月11日に波に乗ろう2023」は今後のゆるやかな広がりを期待させつつ、和やかに終了しました。参加者それぞれの関心事と思惑が不思議とかみ合う、そんな懐の深い会です。いつかこの経緯があやふやになって、それで当然のように3月11日にみんなが集まって海に入って共に食べて時間を共有する、そんな日になることを夢見ています（三原さんの野望にまんまと乗った）。みんなで海に入って、美味しいごはんを食べて、語り合う。そんな普通の、でもちょっと特別な私たちの一日の記録です。お時間のある時（全38分）にぜひゆっくりとご覧ください。お時間のない方は予告編をどうぞ。今年も大変よい時間を過ごしました。

「3月11日に波に乗ろう」は、三原が縁側の家に立ち寄った際、集うサーファ達に誘われて波に乗り、美味しいご飯と共に語りあったことがきっかけです。特別に感じた一日がこの地の日常だと気づいた時、3月11日に誰もが参加出来る形式にしてみようと直感しました。地元の方々にも新鮮な一日となるように、小さな変化を加えながら、毎年集いたいと思ってます。
The idea for “Ride the Waves on March 11” came about when Mihara stopped by engawanoie and was invited by the surfers to ride the waves and talk with them over a delicious meal. When I realized that the day I felt so special was an ordinary day in this area, I intuitively decided to make it a format that anyone could participate in on March 11. We would like to gather every year, making small changes to make it a fresh day for the locals as well.

since 2022, we, soichiro mihara (artist), yoichi matsutani (aesthete) and engawanoie, have been organizing the “riding the waves on march 11”. as a second edition for this year we will surf at yotsukura beach in iwaki city. we surf, eat and talk together. that’s all!

[3月11日に波に乗ろう 2023]
「3月11日に波に乗ろう」は、アーティストの三原聡一郎さんが、縁側の家に立ち寄った際、集うサーファ達に誘われ、この機会を逃したら一生無いかも？！と即断して波に乗ってみたことがきっかけの体験イベントです。2022年より開始し、第1回めは縁側の家のホームの岩沢海岸（双葉郡楢葉町）で行いました。第2回となる2023年はおとなり、いわき市の四ツ倉海岸で海に入ります。向こう10年は続けようと考えております（三原さん宣言）。2023年3月11日同時開催一日だけの贅沢な展覧会「縁側にて」もどうぞお楽しみに！

当日はサーフィンの初心者レッスンの形式を活用致します。
万が一、天候がサーフィンに適さない状況でも、安全な範囲で海に入り、波を掴む感覚を探ります。
その後、美味しいランチと共に皆で3.11を縁側の家にて振り返ってみたいと思ってます。

冬場のタイトなスケジュールになりますが、皆様とご一緒できる機会を楽しみにしています。
ご参加ご希望の方は、このフォームよりお申し込みをお願いいたします。
なおご参考までに以下が当日の持ち物とスケジュール、注意事項になります。ご確認宜しくお願い致します。

■持ち物
・水着（またはポリエステル製のスポーツウエア）を予め着用の上お越しください。
水着の上にウエットスーツを着用していただきます。
・コンタクトレンズは1dayとスペアの準備をお忘れなく（メガネ不可）
・ビニール袋（濡れたものを入れて持ち帰る袋）
・ビーチサンダル（着替えの時などあると便利です、100均のものでも可）
・バスタオル1枚、ハンドタオル1枚（海から上がった後に使用）
・入浴上がりに使用するバスタオル
・入浴後の着替え
（ウェットスーツはスクールレンタル、手袋＆ブーツは必要な方にこちらから貸出）

■スケジュール
09:00 スタッフ集合＆準備開始　（自家用車でお越しの方は着替えなど準備開始できます）
09:40 四ツ倉駅ピックアップ(下り四ツ倉駅9:32着の常磐線にお乗りください）
09:45 集合（四ツ倉海水浴場駐車場）
→着替え（ウエットスーツに着替える）サーフレッスン代5000円、申込書を先に集めます。
10:30 ボードを持って浜へ。インストラクターによるレッスン開始。陸トレ〜波乗り
12:00 終了〜ボード持って駐車場へ
→着替え（ウエットスーツを脱ぐ。シャワーも有）
12:30 近くの入浴施設へ。（身体を暖める為。入浴は自由選択）
13:15 入浴完了縁側の家へ移動
13:50 縁側の家にて特製ランチ（投げ銭スタイル！ドリンクのみオーダ制）
14:00 トークタイム、お茶会（参加者全員で話してゆく座談会形式）

イベント当日は集合時間から終了までイベントアーカイブとして撮影を行いオンラインで後日公開予定です。
被写体として映りたくない方は当日確認しますので申し出て頂けたら幸いです。

every time I say “the sea of fukushima” i feel a tingle, but that’s our strength, isn’t it?
like a tingle – chikkuri, chikkuri – I hope this beauty and story touches many people.

our friend, pascal is a french photographer who fell in love at first sight here and has been photographing ever since. that was in 2016 if i remember correctly, just a few weeks later he started a new life in Japan with his partner manon. today, in march of 2022, he is finally showing what he captured in fukushima at the slope gallery. together with the presentation of soichiro mihara’s “blank projects“, “umarekawaru” will be shown at the slope gallery until march 19. how you can miss this opportunity?!!

福島の海、と口にするたびに、ちくり、とするけれど、それは間違いなく私たちの強みでしょう？ちくり、ちくり、と多くの人にこの美しさと物語が届けば良いな。
フランス出身のパスカルが、ここ広野町と出会ったのは、彼がパートナーのマノンと共に来日し、新しい生活を東京で始めたばかりの２０１６年の頃。それから機会を見つけてはワインと共にやって来て、写真を取り続けています。
そんなパスカルの眼を通した私たちのホームが、ボードカルチャーの発進基地スロープギャラリーに初登場！毎日見ている私たちのホームはこんなに美しいのだなあ。なんて幸せ。

ボードカルチャーから発信される気分のいいアートとアートブックスを紹介するBueno!Books/slope galleryの森本由美さんからの久しぶりのお電話に、あまりにうれしくペラペラと近況をご報告。そうそう、由美さんすごいのですよ、三原聡一郎さんのアート作品が縁側の家に展示されているのですよ、と自慢をしたのは確か1月末のことです。あれよあれよという間にslope galleryが三原さんのオンライン展覧会「空白に満ちた世界」のビューイング会場となることが決まりました。

縁側の家に展示されている《　　鈴》は、《空白のプロジェクト/blank project》４連作のひとつで、三原さんが2011年3月11日を契機に、テクノロジーと社会の関係性を考察するために発表してきたもの。福島県の浜通りにある縁側の家に《　　鈴》がやって来たことで、三原さんがサーフィンを体験し、その体験を提供するイベント「3月11日に波に乗ろう」が行われる・・・この一連に共感した由美さんの応援企画なる「三原聡一郎オンライン展覧会『空白に満ちた世界』ビューイング@slope gallery」です。オンライン展覧会の可能性を問うプロジェクトに、にわかに登場したオンサイト・ビューイング会場。面白がってGOサインを出す三原さん、さすが。

そして、さらに波紋は広がり写真家パスカール・ヴィウの縁側の家近辺の海の写真-umarekawaru-も展示されることに。会期は10日間、どうぞお見逃しなく！
